First Surgery Recovery Day 24: Goodbye cable tv

Today my girlfriend and I returned the cable tv boxes on my account far away to the ends of the earth. Optimum (Cablevision) only has two offices in Brooklyn, and both are extremely difficult to reach for a reason. They don't want to lose you as a customer, so they put a non-descript building with no sign in the middle of a desolate part of Brooklyn. We made it. We returned the boxes. We got tired of flipping through channels and finding nothing but garbage. I have a HD antenna, and as I type we're watching Saturday Night Live in a higher HD quality than cable can deliver. Ok, enough cable tv business.

My recovery was a lot better today than yesterday. The swelling from the infection I mentioned yesterday has reduced significantly, and I've been cleaning my mouth like my life depends on it. I hope the infection is completely gone in about a week. I look forward to the day the small incision completely heals up. It's what is causing my infection. Food is getting trapped inside, so my surgeon installed a small tube on Friday.

Today for food I had several Ensure drinks, a Boost Plus, three eggs blended with cheddar cheese and water and two soups. Someday soon I'll be able to eat normally again, but not today. On Wednesday February 5th at 4pm it will have been four weeks since my surgery. Time is flying by, kind of. I can't wait to eat solid food. I need to go dream now. Day 24 down.
