I encourage everyone to read my 'Jaw Surgery Tips' blog from the beginning.

Start here: At the bottom of each blog entry is a link that allows you to go to the next day (bottom of each article on the left side).

But before you click, here's what you should know:

  • I had two jaw surgeries by two different surgeons, first in 2014 and second in 2015. The first one did not result in my upper and lower jaws aligning properly. The second one was successful.
  • I receive a lot of questions asking to reassure people who are afraid of having jaw surgery. While I can't make your medical decisions for you, and while I am not a medical professional, I can tell you the following as a human being. Time helps to make things clear. If you have thought about surgery for a long time, I do suggest looking into the possibility of surgery. Speak with experienced surgeons. Ask questions.
  • Jaw surgery recovery can be a very trying time. A surprisingly uncomfortable recovery is not uncommon. But that tiny fraction of your life for jaw surgery recovery has a good possibility of making the rest of your time on earth much better.
  • Some insurance companies will pay for your surgery in part or in full. Your surgeon has to convince the insurance company that it is a medical necessity.

I have bills to pay every year to keep this website active. If you're able to donate, please do so here. I also have a family, so every little bit helps!

There's a good solution if you like my website but can't donate any money to keep it up and running! The next time you shop on Amazon for anything, jaw surgery-related or not, just click the button below and then shop for whatever you want. It links to a great blender for jaw surgery recovery, but simply search on Amazon for what you want, and when you make your purchase Amazon will send me a small percentage of the profit.

You won't pay any more for the products if you do this. It's simply Amazon's way of saying thanks to me for sending a shopper their way. Click below to shop on Amazon for just about anything!
